Make a Sight Word Sentence Literacy Center

Make a sight word sentence preview 3

As we continue to focus on learning sight words and using writing skills with the students, I have created a literacy center that has combined the two.

These sheets provide students with a sight word and they must write a sentence containing it.

Each sheet has 3 sight words, and a line to write each sentence on. There are 15 sheets included in this set: all 40 pre-primer words, 2 extra words (am, he) and a blank sheet that you can add your own words to.

This is great practice for using their writing strategies: using uppercase letters to begin their sentences, spaces between their words, and punctuation marks.

This is a quick and easy addition to your literacy centers! I am going to put each page in a plastic sheet, the students can use dry erase markers on them so that they can be reused over and over again!
